People Helping People at LFC's Turkey Truck Tug

This time each year we're reminded to examine our lives and think about all the things we're grateful for. Looking back over this past year it has had a lot of ups and downs for most people and it's during those down times that it's sometimes beneficial to have a helping hand. This is where excellent organizations like People Helping People come in. People Helping People’s mission is to end hunger in Hernando County by breaking the cycle of poverty among the people served. Besides providing food, PHP will link people to benefits, education, training, and resources that will empower and assist them. We are excited to be partnering with them at our Turkey Truck Tug. A portion of all proceeds from the event will be going to People Helping People and they'll also be on-site hosting a food drive. As a bonus to helping out your community, if you bring in some food for the drive you'll get some raffle tickets to win some cool prizes. They can use anything you're able to donate but are especially in need of 16-ounce jars of peanut butter, individually wrapped fruit cups, single servings of mac and cheese, single bags of instant mashed potatoes, and single servings of oatmeal.
