After coming up just short of winning their fourth Top Alcohol Funny Car world championship, Sean Bellemeur and the Bartone-Boggs-Bellemeur “Killer Bs” team got some solace with their second win of the season, capping it with a final-round victory over Jim Whiteley, 5.44 to 5.45. It’s Bellemeur’s sixth career win at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

Shortly after wrapping up the Stock national championship, Kyle Rizzoli put the icing on the cake with a win in Super Stock. Rizzoli drove the Gaynor family’s Cobalt to a double-breakout win over Brad Burton in the final. The news wasn’t all bad for Burton, who took over the championship lead in Super Stock.

Dwayne Scheitlin, the 2021 Denver champ, added a second title to his resume when he wheeled his vintage ’70 Challenger past Leo Glasbrenner in the Stock final. Scheitlin finished the job with a .012 light and a 10.365 against his 10.30 dial.

After kicking off the season with a win in Gainesville, Doug Crumlich scored again in Right Trailers Top Sportsman when he defeated Mike Morehead in the Las Vegas final. Crumlich was nearly perfect off the starting line and drove to a 6.682 on his 6.61 dial for the win. Both Morehead and Crumlich are ranked in the Top 5.
