Jimmy Hidalgo Jr. won his ninth national event and sixth in Stock after Chris Knudsen red-lighted by .001-seocnd in the final round. Hidalgo has now moved to No. 3 in the battle for the Stock national championship.

Junior Houston, the Top Dragster runner-up three years ago at the Virginia national event, went the distance on his second try, defeating former Super Gas world champ and last year’s Super Gas winner, Jeremy Mason, by .008-second in the Super Comp final thanks to a near-perfect 8.907 pass.

Rob Kropfeld was a brilliant .005 on the Tree in the Super Gas final with his ’67 Camaro, forcing opponent Patrick Debottis into a 9.892 breakout. The victory was Kropfeld’s third but his first in more than five years and boosted his final-round record to a perfect 3-0.

Marion Stephenson is now a six-time NHRA national event winner after topping Tyler Wudarczyk in the Super Stock final. Stephenson cruised to the win after Wudarczyk slowed. The race was a rematch of the 2018 Topeka final, won by Wudarczyk.
