Sean Bellemeur wasn’t able to repeat as Top Alcohol Funny Car world champion, but he finished the season on a three-race win streak with wins at the Las Vegas national and divisional events and then the season finale in Pomona, his sixth win of the season, with a solid 5.45 in his 50th career final after former world champ Shane Westerfield had to abort his pass.

Leo Glasbrenner claimed his 12th career win and third in Pomona when he drove his COPO Camaro past Clifton Hanson in the Stock final. Glasbrenner cruised to a 9.581 on his 9.42 dial after Hanson slowed in his vintage ’69 Camaro.
