Jerry Savoie defeated No. 1 qualifier Angelle Sampey when he rode his Pro Stock Motorcycle to a 6.929-second pass at 194.30 mph to take home the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals title.

Reigning Funny Car champion Ron Capps added to his impressive resume on Sunday when he collected the NHRA Thunder Valley Nationals win over long-time competitor Tim Wilkerson. Capps’ 3.984-second effort at 324.36 mph gave him the win at the fan favorite Bristol Dragway racetrack.
