Douglas Wood made his second NHRA national event victory a big one, winning a tight Super Street final round over Ryan Locke. Wood, the 2017 Atlanta Super Street champ, took the stripe by just .002-second over Locke as both drivers had great reaction times and ran close to the 10.90 class index.

Versatile Bo Butner added another trophy to his championship mantel as the former Pro Stock and Comp world champion won his first Dodge Power Brokers NHRA U.S. Nationals title with his second career Super Gas win. Butner, who also has national event wins in Pro Stock, Comp, Super Stock, and Super Street, defeated fellow Hoosier and past SPORTSnationals champ Steve Hoyt for the title.

The Top Dragster presented by Vortech Superchargers class has been contested at the Dodge Power Brokers NHRA U.S. Nationals just four times and Rusty Baxter has won two of them. Baxter, the 2019 Indy champ, scored again by running a 6.172 on his 6.13 dial to defeat Dane Ward in the final round.

After breaking a 14-year victory drought earlier this season in Topeka, Doug Engels added a second U.S. Nationals Comp trophy to his shelf to sit alongside his 2008 silverware. Engels, the No. 1 qualifier, made it through five rounds losing only .03-second to the Competition Index Control, then smashed out a (-.58) 7.38 in the final to defeat the (-.53) 7.41 of three-time world champ and 2019 Indy winner Frank Aragona Jr.
