The event was covered by Diamond P Sports with Dave McClelland and Steve Evans doing the play by play. It features some spectacular footage along with some historic runs in the final rounds of both Top Fuel and Funny Car, and any race with Don Garlits and Shirley Muldowney competing in is certainly one you don’t want to miss.

Len Schneider got his Ford Thunderbird in November of 1983 and spent the winter building it into a race car. It was then one of the first eight GT cars in Pomona in ’84 when they unveiled the class at the Winternationals.
