Lauren Freer becomes first woman to double-up in NHRA national event competition

Lauren Freer captured the first half of her historic double in Super Comp, wheeling her dragster to solid 8.91 to drive around David Dahlem’s holeshot-initiated 8.94 to collect her fifth career win, four of which had come in Super Comp. A few minutes after winning in Super Comp, Lauren Freer completed the first double-up win by a female in NHRA national event competition, taking home the Super Gas Wally in a spectacular final against Pat Martin. Both drivers were .00 on the Tree and ran 9.91s, but Freer got the win light by just .007-second. 🎟 https://www.nhra.com/schedule/2023 🔔 Subscribe to our YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/c/Nhra1951 🌐 Visit NHRA.TV to access more content: https://www.nhra.tv/ 📲 And Follow us on all our social networks: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/NHRA Twitter: @NHRA: https://twitter.com/NHRA Instagram: @NHRA: http://instagram.com/nhra TikTok: @NHRA: https://www.tiktok.com/@nhra
